Skater XL Vs Session ★ Read Description
6I am terrible at these, and actually nervous to upload this lol. I try to do my best, but I always seem to forget to mention something, then I start over. So I just ramble on and play both games, give you a little bit of comparison between both. This is not a 100% accurate comparison. I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting to mention because I don't know everything about both games. #Session #SkaterXL
1) Skater XL is faster, and easier to pull off insane tricks.
2) Skater XL is coming to all platforms, Session is PC and Xbox One only.
3) Session feels more authentic, where as Skater XL has exaggerated physics with faster gameplay, bigger jumps.
4) Session has more graphical options, and appears to be slightly "better" optimized.
5) Session has more maps, and skater / board customization out of the box, NOT including mods.
6) Session has a day and night cycle, which can be toggled, AND you can choose the specific hour you want. Skater XL does not have this.
7) Session has an absolutely amazing camera setting options. You can have your skater off to either side like Skater XL, however you can center your skater, raise the camera up, down, closer, or further away from your skater. It's nuts! Skater XL is just off centered to the left or right, no other option at all.
8) Session I believe you can perform more tricks, though harder to pull off.
9) Session has 3 different control configuration, 1 of which is Skate 3 like. Skater XL has just the one default. I prefer Skater XL's controls.
10) Both are incredible games, and cater to a slightly different audience. I however am leaning a little bit more towards Skater XL due to me sucking at Session. I will keep playing both either way.
Ultimately I am incredibly grateful for both these devs to be pushing out these 2 games. We've been dying for a Skate 3 alternative, and here they are. I still play Skate 3 regularly to this day.
