4 BIG Game Mechanics to Know! - https://youtu.be/6TNI-DEIolY
FULL SCRIPT:
Skill explained and what to focus on:

Increasing any of the main 6 attributes, will increase the learning limit
and experience gain speed of the 3 bounded skills.

Increasing any of the skills will increase learning limit and experience
gain speed of the upgraded skill itself.

*PSA - I will not discuss perks that can be chosen when you level skills
because the developers have stated that they will overhaul most of the
perks in the game.

Vigor Skills:

One Handed - Speed & damage
Two Handed - Speed & damage
Polearm - Speed & damage

Control Skills:

Bow - Bow difficulty (level of bow you can use), damage & accuracy
Crossbow - Reload speed & accuracy
Throwing - Speed, damage & accuracy

Endurance Skills:

Riding - Mount difficulty (level of horse you can ride), horse speed
& maneuver
Athletics - Running Speed
Smithing - Max difficulty of weapon that can be smithed without a penalty

Cunning Skills:

Scouting - Track detection radius & difficulty, scouting distance &
track info
Tactics - Simulation advantage & decrease in troops lost if you retreat
or get away
Roguery - Battle Loot

Social Skills:

Charm - Relation gains with NPCs
Leadership - Party morale & garrison size
Trade - Trade penalty reduction

Intelligence Skills:

Steward - Party size
Medicine - Healing rate and better survival rate
Engineering - Siege engine & building production, Siege engine difficulty
(level of siege engine that can be built)

Now lets talk about what to focus on & general tips:

- In general you want to upgrade skills and attributes whenever the yellow
shading goes over the green shading.
The green shading represents what you are capable of learning, and the
yellow is your progress.

- You can still learn past your learning limit, but your learning rate
or exp gain will go down every time you level up until it is at 0%,
at which point you cannot level that skill any further.

- Leveling is very slow, so try to focus on what you need and not just
level everything. If you played forever, then yes eventually you can
level everything up, but it will take forever because there is a soft
leveling cap at level 24, which slows down everything and makes it near
impossible to level further.

- When it comes to Vigor & Control attributes - i would focus on one skill
from each, i choose one handed and bow because those are the most common.

- For Endurance - if you plan to be on horseback most of the time, level
riding or if you plan to be on your feet, level athletics.
I do not touch smithing unless you want to go that route, it is not needed,
but it is fun to try out.

- For Cunning - Scouting helps you move faster on the map and helps you find
more parties in your general area. I always level it a lot.
Tactics is good for fights, will give you a lot for advantages, I level it
a good amount as well.
Roguery is very good if you decide to take a more evil approach, the battle
loot % increase is good, sometimes i upgrade it a lot, sometimes not at all.

- For Society - I usually focus on charm and leadership because they are
super important late game.
Charm helps you with relationships and reputation gains.
Leadership helps with maintaining a good army.
Trade is like roguery for me, if i want to trade a lot, then i will upgrade
it, but usually i leave trade for my companions, level their trade level
and assign them to caravans.

- For Intelligence - Steward is huge in late game and helps you maintain
good fiefs and a good increase to party size.
Medicine is big for healing, but i usually skip it and just go to
settlements to heal.
Engineering is very good for sieging and i always level it mid-late game.
