Skip the entire Pure Land section in Secret of Mana (SNES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
In Secret of Mana for the SNES, there's a fairly simple glitch you can perform that allows you to skip the entire Pure Land. It's called the Rope-Pole Glitch (or Skipping map event glitch) and it has multiple uses and there are even a few different ways to perform this trick, but skipping the Pure Land section of the game is one of the most practical ways to employ this exploit.
In order to perform this glitch, you will need to enable two players, and head to an area with whip posts. This must also be an area where Flammie can be summoned using the Flammie drum. Now have one of your characters equip the sword (it works with other weapons, too but let's just use the sword for simplicity) and stand directly in front of a whip post (aka a rope pole) facing toward it.
You'll notice that whenever you smack a whip post with certain weapons, the attack animation is halted before it fully completes. Have your sword character attack the whip post with a normal attack, but then immediately have your other player open the menu and use the Flammie Drum while the sword character is just beginning his weapon swing animation. If you did it right, the sword character player should be in control of flying your dragon. Now if you land in an area where there is supposed to be an immediate event, you will instead skip that event.
In other words, if you were to fly to the Mana Fortress, instead of immediately landing and seeing the dialogue about the barrier, you will just be able to walk right in, which means you can skip the entire Pure Land area, which normally takes quite a while to complete.
