Skyrim 100% Maximized Legendary Playthrough - 453. Exploring Southern Whiterun Part 2
1We left off yesterday standing on a mountaintop overlooking Riverwood, so we start by hopping off the mountain and finishing exploring down to the path that runs from Riverwood up to Bleak Falls Barrow. From there we do a lot of back and forth exploring along the river - first exploring the east side of the road from Riverwood down to the bridge, then back up the shoreline, then the river itself, then the east side of the river.
Somewhere in there we explore the exterior areas of Riverwood itself, which is the southern limit of Whiterun hold. Embershard Mine a stone's throw away is a Falkreath location, so it's easiest to take the town as the border.
With all that done we then return to the bridge next to Honnigbrew and begin working on the eastern part of the hold. We start by doing the triangle of land to the east of the road that runs up to Whitewatch Tower, south of the path from the road to Shimmermist Cave and the mountains, and north of the river. You may recall that we used the path to Shimmermist as the southern border of our Pale exploration in these parts.
There are no new locations in this stretch, but we do find another hidden treasure. Towards the very end of our exploration, on a small peninsula sticking out into the river, we find a locked chest with some loot that's not marked as a secondary location.
We're bursting at the seams by the end, so we run back to Whiterun for a quick sort n' sell to finish. Next time we'll explore Shimmermist Cave.
