Just FYI: I am NOT using console commands (or god items for that matter). Some people seem to think so, but actually my character's defense and health is so shitty that if I actually got hit for real even once, I'd die. I've had a few false starts when recording this video for precisely that reason. I dunno why the health meter keeps showing up, possibly it's supposed to if I'm near the epicenter of such powerful strikes, and possibly I am actually receiving tiny slivers of damage from the radiated force of the blow. I'm playing on Normal Difficulty just FYI. I am also wearing nothing but Imperial Light Bracers, Imperial Light Boots, some Mage outift (0 Defense), and Mage Hood (0 Defense). It could be my defense is so low that just being near those attacks causes the health meter to appear.

Suffice it to say, I didn't die because I dodged like a boss XD

Well, here I am fighting two giants at the same time. The lack of magic potions certainly made it tougher, and getting hit even once is a death sentence. I'm mainly a mage character so my health is low (I've never upgraded it).

I'm level 8 in this video if I recall correctly.

My settings are ultra/maximum across the board. I don't have soften distant objects on (I think that would improve performance a bit).

I'm going to get around to turning vsync off by editing the .ini file because it's murdering my framerate (I get 30 to 55 FPS outside much of the time, and topping out at 120fps indoors).

Hopefully there will be a performance patch at some point.

You can see the somewhat hilarious result of me getting whacked by a giant's club in this video:
