Previously, Davilas finished the Thieves Guild quest "Taking Care of Business" and accepted the next quest, "Loud and Clear". Now, he will continue with the rest of "Loud and Clear". He must travel to Goldenglow Estate, where he must clear out Aringoth's safe and destroy three--and no more than three--Bee Hives.

After resuming, Davilas heads west from Riften towards Goldenglow Estate, which is on an island in the lake outside the city.

Along the way, he discovers Merryfair Farm. For discovering 100 locations over the course of the game, the player earns the trophy "Explorer".

Upon arrival at Goldenglow Estate, Davilas fulfills the optional objective of sneaking in through the Goldenglow Estate Sewer. Look out for Skeevers.

A locked cell in the sewer contains a copy of "Guide to Better Thieving", which increases Pickpocket when read.

The ladder at the end leads to the rear entrance to the main house in Goldenglow Estate. Davilas breaks in and begins exploring the place. He gets the optional goal to find the key to Aringoth's safe. There are plenty of opportunities to level up lockpicking. Behind a locked door near the main entrance, there is a locked strongbox with some gold. Some mercenaries await along the southeastern hall.

Davilas goes upstairs to the Goldenglow Estate Second Floor. More mercenaries await. Aringoth is hiding behind a door in the southeast. You can actually pickpocket the Goldenglow Safe Key from him. If this goes undetected, you don't have to kill him.

Back downstairs, some more mercenaries may appear. Across from the stairway to the second floor, Davilas can break open a barred door and go downstairs to the Goldenglow Estate Basement. Mercenaries down here will have Goldenglow Cellar Keys.

On the lower level of the basement, Davilas finds Aringoth's Safe. If he does not have the key, he can lockpick his way in. The safe contains the Goldenglow Bill of Sale, which Davilas must take. Some moron gave Aringoth some very bad advice.

At the end of the basement, there is another entrance to the Goldenglow Estate Sewer. Davilas makes his way out.

Now, Davilas will work on making his way to the Bee Hives. There are plenty of mercenaries around, so you may want to go around and clear them out before approaching the Beehives. Some of the mercenaries near the gate have Goldenglow Gate Keys.

At the Bee Hives, Davilas burns three--and only three--Bee Hives. Some more mercenaries may appear, so be sure to go off to a safe remove before fighting them. Otherwise, you may risk other Bee Hives getting destroyed.

When done, Davilas fast-travels back to the Thieves Guild in Riften. Down in the Ragged Flagon Cistern, he reports to Brynjolf. If Davilas did the job as specified, he will get a reward. If too many Bee Hives got burned, though, Davilas will not get a reward. This completes "Loud and Clear".

The next quest, "Dampened Spirits" starts immediately. To kick this off, Davilas must speak with the grand dame of Riften herself, Maven Black-Briar. He will seek her out next time.
