Vampires! In Morthal. (The lamest small town ever. I mean it's literally in the midst of a frozen spider-infested swamp.)

This can only mean one thing: more vampire dust in Swims' alchemy collection. That's about all vampires are good for. Maybe a few more heads in the bloody skull collection too.

Fun fact: Morthal was named after the bull-demigod Morihaus. Who, being a sensible and intelligent being, would never have been within a hundred miles of Morthal without very good cause.

Another fun fact: spiders are not generally that fond of permanently frozen swamps. Swamps that thaw out from time to time and get warm are a different matter. They like to eat flying insects which in our world are not very common in subfreezing temperatures. I guess Skyrim's permanently frozen swamps are different in that respect, since you do see flying insects in them. Maybe Morthal isn't really that cold, though I doubt it. It looks cold, wet and utterly miserable.
