Skyrim RP: "Swims-in-Sewers" #1
Broke and down on his luck in Riften, what's a sadistic young psychopath to do?
Father murdered. Mother worked to death by the damn Nords in Windhelm. Broke and ill-fated from the minute he hatched, Swims-in-Sewers has had a hard life. Now, he wants to make life hard for EVERYBODY else. Money is important, power helps, but the most important thing to him is blood and suffering and raw flesh torn asunder.
Yes life is hard for an aspiring young mass murderer. But when you already assume your head is going to wind up on a chopping block for crimes against humanity, anything is possible.
*******************************************
My rationale for this character is, most characters in Skyrim are perfectly willing to do horrible things if they have a rationale for it. My character Olaf Wuulfrith killed probably thousands, but in the name of what he perceives as a righteous revolution. Aesmer D'zinnda killed to save the world from the Eye of Magnus, and to better equip himself to do so.
Swims-in-Sewers has no noble excuses or rationalizations. He doesn't care about money or power except as a means to an end. That end, is murder. Is blood. Is carnage and suffering. He is a true psychopath. As such, he will likely go places that my normal characters wouldn't. Running from the law. Killing law officers. Pushing boundaries. Murdering not for pay or for any other reason than its own sake. What that does is push me into breaking out of my ruts and habits in Skyrim to do things that might not normally make sense, but which might make a great story.
I know that Swims (we'll call him Swims for short,) has speech patterns and such that are not all that lore-friendly. He sounds like an inbred hillbilly, not an argonian. What I am doing is not channeling my "inner argonian" but my inner homicidal maniac, and that's the voice that comes out. A sick perverted sadistic hillbilly.
So if I ever start talking in that voice in real life, stay far far away from me. ;)
