I am about to wrap up my "Foreigner" playthrough and this is what will replace it.

Almost all my characters in Skyrim have some rationalization for what they do, they don't view themselves as villains even if they are. Olaf Wuulfrith, my Stormcloak character in the series "Rebel", probably killed thousands, but he does not consider himself a mass murderer but rather a freedom fighter. Darth Kitteh was a priest of Sithis, he regarded himself as freeing souls from a painful and unjust world even though he was an assassin. Ko'Dargo of my series "Way of the Warrior" viewed himself as an honorable warrior fighting for the public good. Even my worst characters actually viewed themselves as good in some sense, however incorrectly.

The argonian thief/assassin "Swims-in-Sewers" has no such illusions. He's a psychopath and knows he is. He does not kill to fight for justice or serve the gods or even for his own wealth or status alone, but because he likes it. Wealth and power is but a means to the end of more blood, pain, fear and death.

You could say he fights for revenge, to avenge the impoverished and cruel conditions of his upbringing. His father died in a barroom brawl when he was but a hatchling, his mother was worked to death by harsh Nord taskmasters as she struggled to feed her family. But if he wants to avenge himself, he wants to avenge himself on basically everyone. And he does not rationalize but revels in his criminal nature.

There are several villains that are going to serve me as inspiration for Swims-in-Sewers. Clyde Barrow of "Bonnie and Clyde" fame is one influence. He has a bit of Gollum in him. And he has a lot of "Alex" in "A Clockwork Orange" in him. He likes nothing better than a bit of the old Ultraviolence.
