Short clip of when I earned the Platinum Trophy in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time on Playstation 3. Read more...

I saved a simple trophy (Hero Tech; where you must "Battle with a secret weapon.") for last so I could record it on my iPhone.

This is my favorite Sly Cooper of the series. I really enjoyed the story in this one and there weren't any atrocious side games or challenges to get through.

The voice acting and animations were both great, as is pretty typical in a Sly Cooper, and the story was actually pretty interesting.

This was my first true cross-play experience and I have to say I absolutely love it! It's not quite as seamless as the commercials lead you to believe though, haha. It's still pretty easy and very quick to get yourself on the go. Simply Save your game and then choose to "Upload to Cloud"... done! Now go to your other platform and download the cloud save to continue your journey through time.

Collectibles in this one were a bit of a "grind". You must collect 30 bottles, 1 safe, 12 treasures and 10+ masks in each episode which seems to take forever; especially since you can't do them all as you go... You must unlock outfits in later episodes and return to finish up the collectibles. If you happen to have the Vita version and the PS3 version you can turn your Vita on in AR Treasure mode and all the treasures and masks show up on your Vita screen! Awesome feature.

There were a few tricky trophies in this list as well... namely the ones that required you to have a "perfect" run of some kind or another. The worst of them was Hubba Bubba IMO. For that one, you have to hit every note during a belly dance sequence. So the problem, in my eyes, was the fact that the button prompts don't go with the music and I had to hit the button much later than I felt was right. The sequences can be long too so if you goof up... you have to start over from the beginning of the sequence again

Another thing to note is while I started out on the Vita with intentions of playing through the entire game on just the Vita... I couldn't do it. The controls were a little goofy and awkward. I fired up the PS3 version and BAM, the controls were tight and felt much more fluid. I still enjoyed the game on the Vita in short bursts (at work, etc.) but I highly preferred it on the PS3.

Overall this is a great game that is family friendly and quite a bit of fun. I'd recommend it as well as the other Sly Cooper games.

Platinum Difficulty: 3/10
Overall Enjoyment: 8/10
