In this video, I'm doing a playthrough of a game that I did a gameplay video before, back on my old channel in 2012. That game is: Secret Agent (aka Sly Spy). This game was developed and published by Data East, it was released in the Arcade in 1989. Sly Spy: Secret Agent was also ported to the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. Sly Spy: Secret Agent is a Run and gun shooter that you play as: Sly Spy. The plot resembles some movies and novels of the James Bond series that takes place in the United States. There are 8 stages in this game, because there are some stages have their own gameplay. At the start of the first stage, the player shoot enemies horizontally while sky-diving. The second half of the first, third, fifth, sixth and eight stages are played in a run and gun shooter format, similar to Namco's Arcade game: Rolling Thunder and its sequels. The second stage shows Sly Spy riding on his motorcycle with a built-in machine gun, which makes this stage a combination of run-and-gun and vehicular combat game, looks much like: Moon Patrol. The fourth and seventh stages are in marine-based, side-scrolling shooter while you're swimming underwater and shooting divers and sharks. Minor enemies will drop several different items when defeated, such as extra ammo, cans of Coca-Cola-esque soda, extra time and machine guns. And don't forget to collect some pieces to get a Golden Gun, which is a stronger gun. The final stage is to stop the nuclear missile, before this missile striking the earth. The player must face off against several previous bosses and finally fight the leader of C.W.D, whose identity is never given outside of that title. The boss is protected by a force field and Sly must shoot or kick it to deal enough damage and dent the field. Sly then shoots the C.W.D.'s leader, finishing him for good before fleeing the base with hardly a scratch. The ending is just weird, because the president congratulates Sly for saving the world, but then tells him that he "missed a few things and may come back to pick them up. Try again..." The end screen is the same as in Bad Dudes vs. DragonNinja, but with some changes, like the girls and Sly for saving the world. Overall, this game is really fun, just like Bad Dudes vs. DragonNinja (also by Data East). If you're a fan of these James Bond type of games, then give this a try. I hope you enjoy this playthrough of Sly Spy: Secret Agent for the Arcade and thanks for watching!
