I collect both the 100 coin star and the star Make Wiggler Squirm in Tiny-Huge Island using 0 A presses. Although these stars both require 0 A presses individually, it takes an A press to jump into the Tiny-Huge Island painting. Thus, it is better to collect theses two stars at the same time so that Mario only needs to jump into the painting once, and thereby save an A press implicitly. Thus, I recommend combining these two stars, as it is the optimal strategy.
