Smart Ball Game Sample - SNES/SFC
Original Air Date: June 16th, 2009
This is a sample video for Smart Ball, one of the first games released in the U.S. for the SNES. It's a relatively fun and simple platformer. Its Japanese counterpart, Jerry Boy, shares a few differences from Smart Ball. The most notable difference is that it had a story and town segments where you could talk to humans and be given 1-Ups as gifts. Another difference is that its controls were a bit more cumbersome in the Japanese game, which they fixed in the U.S. game (running would shoot the balls you had, where as they were set to the two unused top buttons in the U.S.)
Since we own the Japanese version of this game as well, we're uploading a video for it too, so you can see what we mean. Additionally, we'll be downloading the unreleased Japanese sequel to Jerry Boy, Jelly Boy 2 (as Jerry was meant to be Jelly originally since Rs and Ls can be interchangable in the Japanese language) Enjoy.
