While still a new and recent character, Travis Touchdown (alongside his franchise No More Heroes) made an impact during the Wii generation. With two entrees in the series it became a popular third party with Nintendo and the character became well liked and popular in and of himself. And who knows there could always be a continuation to the series on day.
Travis Touchdown would offer a unique move-set. He wouldn't be a straight up sword user but a fighter with wrestling moves as well. The beam katana would be a new sword introduced to Smash (at least on a character) and Travis wields it like no other sword user in Smash. The wrestling moves would be the big addition to the rest of his moves.
