An action shooter platformer. You have use of a combat vehicle and also traverse by foot. Enemies continuously spawning and respawning which makes the game feel repetitive. Combat is relatively simple/repetitive as well since you usually do the same combination. Rocket to clear shields, machinegun, repeat. Or, three rockets to take out something bigger, with special ability if things get too crazy. There is no map. There is a radar system, but it's not long range so no good for navigating the level. According to the intro, an entity is attacking our base and yet we don't know our own base layout? Cannot rebind gamepad trigger buttons for some reason, hopefully they fix that before the game is released.
