sideloaded Retroarch and went for some excellent 2D nostalgia in anticipation for native Citra 3DS emulation on Quest next week. I paired DS4 gamepad. no audio from the games or 2D apps in general is captured by Quest video streamer, but I was playing with full sounds and their gorgeous OST

I haven't played these games since early 2000s at best. I think I only finished Super Metroid 2x in its launch year of 1994 and never again - it cemented its reputation as the greatest videogame of all time so deeply that I never felt the urge again. unfortunately, small difficulty here as it uses "select" button to select different weapons and that button brings on RetroArch main menu - I'll try to remap it later on...

these games are true gems - they're probably the best games running on my Quest yet... AW2 has awesome combat and way shinier graphics but could learn a thing or two from classic level design and exploration from them... map designs by themselves are puzzles to unravel
