This is a series of gameplay vids I'm doing highlighting overlooked games for the various consoles I own.

A note for the classic consoles: I don't really remember which games go a lot of attention back in the 16-bit days, so when I post them as underrated it's based on whether or not I hear them get mentioned when people still talk about those classic systems.

Skyblazer is a fun action adventure platformer (it's actually had for me to put a genre label on it, because it has elements of multiple genres) published by Sony Imagesoft of all companies, that while it doesn't do anything particularly new, it does what it does very well.

I will say that you've seen everything this game has to offer in other games, but sometimes it not about what you do new, but what you do right. Even if it's not a particularly original game, it's still a completely solid one, that had me hooked in till I beat it.

Granted, that brings up another flaw of the game, it's rather short compared to other similar 16-bit games. In fact, I sat down and beat it in one sitting today. However, there's beating a game, and then there's mastering a game. Granted, again, the game is also a little on the easy side, but that's not to say that it doesn't have it's challenging parts to it, but those of you who have mastered other games like Skyblazer won't have a particularly difficult time with it.

The jumping in the game also doesn't feel as tight as it should be, and takes some getting used to, but once you get used to it, it feels like second nature.

Overall, once you get the hang of the game, you'll find an extremely solid game. Everything works very well in the game. It even showcases some cool Snes visual effects. Skyblazer is enjoyable, fun, and though it's short, it's worth a look from Snes fans. I really enjoyed it, and I'm sure many of you will too if you decide to give it a try.

NOTE: This is played on an original Snes console with footage taken via a capture card. There will be no Rom Sharing on my vids. Don't give out links to people asking where to download this game from, because the comments will be deleted.
