If anything from these couple of playthroughs had taught me, is that the Aegis Shield is the way to go to get through all the levels! I was so close but so far when I got defeated by minions in the mazes to go back down to square one. I did get manage to get some things done though, such as renovations and getting Orpheus, the court musician, back from his exile, though he doesn't seem to be playing anything I want him to yet!

I considered using the Heart-Seeking Bow but decided not to in the end because I like getting up close and personal. Since I didn't have the Eternal Spear unlocked, I went back with the Stygian Blade. But I made a dumb as I had changed my boon to the one Orpheus gave me, which gave extra ranged damage! Though it seems that while the Stygian Blade offers more damage, I lost a lot more health than I would have compared to me using the Aegis Shield, so I might go back to it.
