So this is what it's like playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land (2022 - Nintendo Switch)
We are taking a trip to the year of 2022 when Kirby and the Forgotten Land was released. This video was created for journalistic purposes.
It's been quite a while since I played a Kirby game. In fact, I don't think I've even featured a Kirby game on this channel until today. Still, at least I'm not going in totally blind with this one. I have had past experience with this franchise - especially when we are talking about games on the NES, SNES, and a couple of handheld consoles.
While playing this title, I definitely saw a lot of familiar elements. The only difference from what I've played and this game is that it isn't really a 2D game. It is legitimately a fully 3D game. I don't know if it's the first, but it's the first fully 3D Kirby game I've ever played. This one does, indeed, manage to incorporate elements from the 2D games in the past and put them into the 3D environment. So, so far, the feel is quit good at least.
For those who have played this game, what are your thoughts on this one? was this a fun game to play for you or did you find that the gameplay was a bit too different for your taste?
For those who have played other games in this franchise, but not this one, what did you think of what you saw in the video? Does this look like a game that you are familiar with and you could get in to or does the mixture of 2D concepts and 3D elements not really do anything for you?
Also, for those who have never played any of these games, what did you think of what you saw here? Does this look like an interesting change of pace or are you more into different styles of gaming? Let us know in the comments below!
