My Minecraft Adventure: This Massive Cave Was Next to My Main Base
Welcome to episode 8 of things I did in Minecraft.
In this update, I head back to my main base. The reason? I'm showcasing the massive cave system that was next to my main base the entire time. Now that I know that torches can prevent enemies from spawning, I figured I could use a huge number of torches to effectively secure this cave system much like how I largely secured the cave system in the desert.
I have long been wondering why my base kept getting visited by endermen. I guess I now know why. This is a huge cave system and it was also packed full of enemies. After securing this cave structure, I ended up having fewer visits from enemies.
Still, when I went into this cave system, I was partly expecting it to just be a few random caves that didn't go very deep into anything. I was very VERY badly mistaken. It took a long time to secure most of this cave structure and there were some drop offs that I didn't have the guts to jump down into. So, some areas were left alone. Most of it was secure and that was good enough for me.
With all the torches lighting things up, I guess it kills some of the ambience of this, but there is something to be said about not being constantly attacked by enemies while going down these areas. Even more impressive is the fact that these caves go so far down that I actually connected some points of the cave structure with my main base mine. I didn't show it in the video, but there are some places where my mine opens up to the massive cave structure which I consider to be incredible. No wonder I ran into so many cave systems while mining. This massive structure spider webs its way through so much of the ground!
Who knew there was such a huge exploration opportunity right next to my main base?
