Techno has been fighting most of his life, wether it be in wars or to simply survive. This means he’s have ⏃ lot of enemies.
He would have trouble with showing his love, and all around appreciation for people for the fear of them being used against him.
Him continuously yelling Ranboo that they aren’t friends when Ranboo gifted the axe wasn’t him guarding his ego, it was Techno guarding someone who had shown him kindness from being leverage against Techno.
Which beings us to my Technodad AU
Techno was very cautious when showing his love to Ranboo as he was ⏃ very small child and could be easily taken and used. So he’s always check to make sure no one was watching before doing anything for Ranboo, and even then it would be small gestures, like putting one hand behind Ranboo’s head while he cried, or siting down when Ranboo played around him.
