Solar System Time: Galaxy Time Watch Faces

Samsung has collaborated with the European Space Agency (ESA) to introduce Galaxy Time watch faces, allowing Samsung Galaxy Watch users to track the time on every planet in the solar system. Available exclusively on WearOS-powered Galaxy smartwatches, including the Galaxy Watch Series 4 and newer models, these watch faces offer real-time data for each planet.

With the launch of Galaxy Time on March 31, users can download the watch face directly from the Google PlayStore. However, availability may vary based on regions.

The Galaxy Time collection comprises eight unique watch faces, each representing a planet in the solar system. Time on each planet is calculated meticulously, considering factors such as rotation speed and orbital movement. Samsung's partnership with ESA ensures the accuracy and reliability of the time data.

In addition to displaying time, Galaxy Time provides valuable insights such as the planets' distance from the Sun and Earth, the number of moons they have, and their current position and season. The concept for Galaxy Time originated from Leo Burnett (Germany), the creative agency behind Samsung's Galaxy S8 product campaign.

Data regarding planetary movement is sourced from ESA, while Metadesign, a Berlin-based brand agency, is responsible for the design of Galaxy Time watch faces.

Experience the wonders of space on your wrist with Galaxy Time! Download now and explore the solar system like never before.
