This music piece was a first for me in a lot of ways. I've never been too much into vocaloid culture, but I was really impressed by the sound demos of Solaria. When I showed my friends the initial sketches for this piece, a lot of them thought that the vocals were sung by a real person!

Most of the music I've written in the past has primarily been in the orchestral and jazz genre, so I wanted to stick to what I was comfortable with. However, I also wanted to achieve a sort of "pop" sound, which I did through the use of synthesizers and using effects to achieve a certain sound. I did get a bit lazy with my writing process towards the end, but I'm still proud of what I've made her nonetheless.

And lastly, this is the first time I've ever written lyrics for a piece of music. Surprisingly, it wasn't too difficult. I would write the melody first, then the lyrics, and if necessary I would modify the melody to suit the rhythm of the lyrics.

Overall, this was a very fun piece to write, and the ability to now use vocals in my music has opened up a world of possibilities for me.
