[Somnium] #10 - Psyncin' In The PaiN — Route A || AI: The Somnium Files (Interactive, 100%)
Part 10 of my interactive 100% playthrough of AI: The Somnium Files on PC.
After a dramatic entrance inside of Mizuki's somnium, we set off to save the girl from her own psyche. She may be keeping up a brave face in public, but it's obvious the events at Bloom Park shook her greatly, to the point where she's now being held captive by some memories of her past. Will we be able to get through to her, fix her muteness, and find the clues we desperately need for the case?
This somnium introduces time limits! From this point on, all actions taken inside a somnium will eat up some valuable time. Once the initial six minutes have passed, it's game over! With that said, time slows down to a crawl when idle: we'll need to use and abuse that feature to get our bearings and think our next course of action! Furthermore, timies are now a thing, and can help mitigate the time used on any action if we do so desire. Using those wisely will allow us to make it through to the end of the somnium unscathed. If we manage to finish with at least one second remaining, we'll also get the other hidden collectible of the somnium! No more freebies, we have to earn those files now!
Due to the timed nature of somniums, it's not possible to showcase all interaction options in the same run, like we did during the first dream sequence. There's still enough time for some goofing around though, and so what I decided to do is to show all possible outcomes from the objects we need to interact with in order to solve the somnium. This will allow these videos to be used as a guide if needed, while still providing some funny banter in-between each important choice. Interaction options with the other, less important objects will be shown in a separate segment at the end of the video. In the case of branching paths (like in this somnium), that extra segment will be split across both routes, so if you don't see some interactions play out in one video, it's because they are featured on the other route!
