This is the first cover I've ever completed in FamiTracker.
Should a newbie dare to play with arps this much?

While I'm learning the basics, I decided to only focus on the 2A03 chip, no aid from the DPCM and force myself to learn how to get a decent percussion sound out of the noise channel (I definitely feel like there's room for improvement there), and get used to working within limitations. To make the learning process somewhat sane I decided to turn to existing simplistic 8-bit music on different hardware, and here's the result.

I definitely wouldn't have thought of some of the implementations here if it wasn't for numerous brilliant people who have made chiptune music and excellent example tracks viewable in FamiTracker. Analyzing those helped me understand how to manipulate the various editors more than anything really, and I'm pretty grateful the resources were made so publicly available!

This is a loose cover; besides the arps, I didn't like some of the bass and accompaniment patterns in the original and changed the flow of the tune a decent bit. I hope it doesn't offend your sensibilities. : P
