Sonic 2 Simon Wai prototype
2This prototype was presented to the community by Simon Wai, and is such named after himself. It is more advanced than the earlier Nick Arcade prototype, though still incomplete. Playing the game normally, you could only play through Aquatic Ruin, Chemical Plant, Hill Top, and Emerald Hill. But of course, there's the level select to play more levels. The Zones even had different names! Aquatic Ruin Zone was "Neo Green Hill Zone". Emerald Hill Zone was "Green Hill Zone". Mystic Cave Zone was "Dust Hill Zone"...doesn't really feel fitting to an underground Zone, to be honest.
