Sonic Adventure [Flycast] | (QSound?) DSP | Speaker Binaural Audio
Apparently Sonic Adventure is one of the few games on Dreamcast to use QSound, so I turned on the DSP option in the Flycast emulator to see if it was capable of emulating QSound as well, and it's definitely applying an audio effect, though I'm not sure how it compares to real hardware.
Either way, the focus of this experiment is the splash sound effect. In this version, you should probably hear it all the way on your far left (speakers required, not for headphones). Without the DSP, it sounds like it's right in front of you (with speakers) or inside your head (with headphones).
