This one is kind of interesting. It feels really short in comparison. The bosses go down easier and such, so I guess it's to be expected. It was more of like an hr playthrough going through the Minigame for the time stones, so I can see why I see this get speedrunned.

Usually things for this series. The camera being where it is at can cause issues. Some parts you can look up and down, but most of the time there just isn't anything you can do about it besides just know the map in and out. Probably why I really don't like the stage with the bounce floors that send you through the upper areas, though become solid when you try to go down.

Level design can be fine to just being a dick. You'll try to actually go fast, then they'll just put a bounce pad in the way, then put a rock after that. Sonic, is blind, runs into a boulder. Some stages can allow you to simply, well, basically fly to the end as Sonic. Green Hill, if you stay near the top and jump, usually lets you bounce off enemies and actually feel like some speed is occurring. Most of the time though, without hindsight, you'll just smash into things and have to take a brisk walk. Not as bad as Sonic and Knuckles, at least you don't need a device to get you through the loops and such.

Mini game is probably the easiest out of all the games I've done so far, even before knowing the blimp with time spawns around 20 seconds or so. Did cut it close though when going for the good ending. While it can be awkward and it annoys me when I jump and it looks like I hit, but don't, especially with always running Sonic, can be annoying to hit them at times. Water destroys your time, but they only put some robots near the water to be cheesy, so it's not too bad. First time I can think of when getting the speed shoes is a downgrade, since you can slowly turn around, while always being forced to move, but the shoes makes your slowest at like a medium jog. With the timer bonus though, you basically have as much time as needed, as long as you don't lose it all to water.

Bosses are ok. Some can just be a complete joke. I didn't do it on my initial run, but I just walked behind the first boss and he just dies. No way to defend himself. Only one I don't know specifically how to do was probably the final boss. I'm not sure when you'd go in for the initial hit. I was thinking diagonal, but I'm pretty sure I just brute forced it.

Game is short, has some cheesy moments, but was fun. Some parts seem to just be there as an annoyance and not to actually kill Sonic. Still goes by pretty quickly so you don't think about those locations too much. Plenty of lives, even when you go decently fast and get smooshed to death. Video was nicely done, though I'm sure youtube will probably have a fit.

Worth playing certainly.
