3Welcome back to Sonic Generations.
This is the end of the Classic Era which ends with the bosses Death Egg Robo which isn't nearly as difficult as it was back on Sonic 2 because you have rings and he doesn't take as much punnishment.
Metal Sonic is the rival for this era. there is a remix of Stardust Speedway Bad Future JP for the boss fight but there is also a remix of the North American version which you can unlock before the battle against Metal.
Dr. Eggman gets kidnaped by the weird black cloud, and that is about all that happens story wise.
