This run really sucks, but I really don't like Solo Sonic (I GREATLY prefer Sonic + Tails). Just did this for the sake of having a time in this category.

Differences on V1.03 that apply to this run include:
+ Green Hill 1 ends earlier if you kill both heads close together.
- You can no longer jump into and walk through the pipe in part of Chemical Plant 2.
- You can no longer do a lightning shield jump over the ceiling in part of Studiopolis 1. Means it's no longer worth detouring for the lightning shield at the start, so I have to waste time getting one later, as I want it for the Act 2 boss.
= The glitch in Studiopolis 2 works differently, the level becomes solid again as soon as you jump, and you have to land further to the left on the curved pipe to start it. This was originally fixed on an earlier patch, but then somehow added back in in the current patch... I would expect it to get removed again if there's another patch in the future.
- It's a bit harder to jump through a slope at one point in Hydrocity 2, you have to jump higher up. Costs a tiny bit of time.
- You can't do the glitch at the start of Oil Ocean 2 that makes the stage not solid. Hard to say how much time this loses since the "normal" route gets speed shoes.

This was done on PC, as I don't want to patch the game on my Switch and this is my only alternative. Timing starts at selecting the file and ends when the timer stops on the final level. Using an already completed file is allowed as long as it has no emeralds, so you don't have to deal with the opening cutscene; this means you start with more than 3 lives, but that should never matter in any serious run.

I'm a woman, by the way. The reason I say this is because a lot of commenters assume everyone is male unless you specifically tell them otherwise, and I would rather they did not, so here I am specifically telling them otherwise.
