The snowboard controls are a slight step up in this version of the game. Only slightly IMO since I'm not very good at controlling the snowboard even with the improved control. I do appreciate that pressing X/square allows you to kick off the ground, getting some speed if you bump into the terrain. Don't think that was in the original...

Honestly, this stage never gave me that much trouble getting the S rank during any of my attempts. Okay, the snowboard section actually did kill me when I bumped into a rock on the slope and got crushed by the giant snowball when I first played the stage in the previous version, but once I reached the base itself, it was smooth sailing from there.
