So I have some things to talk about first before I go into the game. A lot of things happened recently which include my main SSD dying and my PC in general nearing the end of it's life. I was intending to record this release of P-06 when it came out but my PC just seemed incapable of running it anymore without crashing. On top of all the other problems that came up, I decided it was time to upgrade and I finally did. I can now actually run this game at fairly high settings and record just as well. Losing my data also means I had to rebuild my project and rendering settings and I am honestly way more satisfied then how I was before. Now onto the game itself...

With the release of Shadow, the game is considered to be a in released state since ChaosX thought it had too much content to be a demo. Like all P-06 releases, v1.0 had some issues and he used fan feedback to fix them up for the 1.5 release(1.6 was to fix a game breaking bug). Same thing happened with Demo 3 where 3.5 fixed a huge amount of my issues with the game. As such, this is currently the final release of this version meaning we shouldn't get anymore updates until Silver's campaign.

Before I go onto Shadow though, I wanted to get this out of the way first. If you go into the test room and head to an isolated platform to the left, you will find the warp to the second area. From there, just go straight backwards and climb the tower to find a warp mirror to a hidden level not on the stage select. This is an alternate version of Kingdom Valley based on the infamous XBLA demo where the game was in a much more completed stage. It's not really something to right home about since it's just the first zone with less enemies.

However, a lot of people seem to think this stage is impossible to S-Rank since its so short and the time bonus doesn't make up for the lost of the other 3 zones. While it does require some finesse, it's very possible to S-Rank. KV Zone 1 is one of the best areas in the entire game when it comes to chaining enemies together for a massive combo bonus. It's even better in the main version, though a lot harder. You can also see me exploit a bit of tech I didn't really use before but you will see me exploit A LOT Shadow. If you bounce after a homing attack, you gain the ability to homing attack once again in the air. If you tap X then A fast enough, you can basically homing attack twice in a row to cross gaps Sonic normally wouldn't. This is useful for Sonic but a game changer for Shadow which I will elaborate more on when I get to him.
