Sonic Robo Blast 2 (Demo 4/4.32) - SP & CTF Maps
Demo 4 was the fourth demo released. It was patched to 4.1 later. Demo 4.32 was an update that brought the game to Doom Legacy 1.32 (which 4.32 was named after), followed by several patches to become 4.35. In this video, I play both 4.1 and 4.35. Demo 4 introduced Special Stages, which are accessible by collecting a Special Stage Token (which replaces the Chaos Emeralds themselves in those same expact spots) and completing the level. These special stages are quite similar to those seen in SRB2 TGF in which they are all checkered environments and you have to collect a certain amount of rings within a certain time limit, although there are no enemies to worry about. Once enough rings have been collected, the Chaos Emerald is awarded. 4.32 replaced most of the special stages with easier ones as many complained that those ones were too difficult. Castle Eggman Zone is also added, but in this game is accessed by completing THZ1 with all emeralds. A new multiplayer gametype was also added, Capture the Flag. It is the typical game of capture the flag; steal the enemy flag and return it to your own. 4.0 and 4.32 have their own fair share of Match and CTF levels, although a few of them are in both versions. Demo 4 also introduces date-activated secrets, which are activated by the time being on a certain date or launching the game with the appropriate command-line parameter. Knuckles becomes fully playable in this release. Demo 4.32 was also the first version to have the screen use a dark transparent background when the menu was open. A character select for single player was also added. 4.32-35 was the last version to support DOS/Windows 9x.
