Welcome to my playthrough of Sonic Rush,

Sonic Rush was originally released on november, 15th in 2005, which was the exact same day as the 3D game Shadow the Hedgehog was released on the home consoles of the time.

Sonic Rush is a 2D Sonic game made by DIMPS the creators of the Sonic Advance trilogy, unlike those games however we only have 2 playable characters and both of them play basically identical to each other besides very little differences: Sonic the Hedgehog, the true blue hero.
The other character is: Blaze the Cat a mysterious purple cat who appeared out of nowhere when Sonic defeated Eggman in the Leaf Storm Zone.


Now for gameplay: Sonic has a new move besides his Spin-Dash and Homing Attack, which is activated by the new Tension Gauge: the Super Boost which can be used to make Sonic invincible and speed him up for however long there is energy in the Tension Gauge, the tension gauge can be charged up by defeating enemies and doing tricks.

Now for the story so far:
Sonic the Hedgehog was having a relaxing day while running through the Leaf Storm Zone when he finds Eggman in the forest, and knowing that wherever Eggman shows up trouble is never far behind, Sonic makes himself known to the mad scientist and Eggman tells Sonic that he is close to have "ultimate power" under his command, so yeah normal Eggman plan.

After Sonic defeated Eggman's latest mech and Eggman escaped there was a blue rectangular gem lying on the ground but before Sonic could go and pick it up a fire tornado came out of nowhere and a purple cat was standing in front of Sonic holding the Blue Gem before telling us who she was the cat dashes of.

Later Sonic meets up with Tails and fills him in on what's going on, and not wanting to wait for Eggman to get this "Ultimate Power" he and Sonic need to stop him and to do this they go to where Eggman was flying of to: the Water Palace where Sonic gets the second Chaos Emerald.
After going through the Water Palace Sonic and Tails run into "Eggman" again but when they call him the doctor starts laughing and saying something about a title at which point he tells us that he isn't our Doctor Eggman but a very similar looking man called: Dr. Eggman Nega but like our old friend Nega does stick his new mech against us and tries to drown us with the Egg Turtle.

After Eggman Nega retreats Tails shows concern about him showing up out of nowhere and Eggman's speech about Ultimate Power so Sonic and Tails go to Tails' Workshop because he wants to look into something.
When the get to the workshop Tails finds out something pretty frightening because there is a tear in the space-time continuum which if not done anything to fix this the entire reality could be altered.
