This is an amazing conversion of the Master System version of Sonic.
I already played the PAL version before, mostly because setting up the NTSC version was slightly harder: the game needs a Ram Expansion Unit to work, and the NTSC version is way better to play with a CPU accelerator or a Commodore 128, unfortunately both not supporting the aforementioned REU in Retroarch.
I had to set up and use the Vice stand alone emulator for Commodore 128, but it definitely paid off.
While trying out the various emulator options, I also changed the default palette and opted for the C64HQ: I liked purple Sonic, but I prefer a more traditional blue hedgehog.
