Sonic Unleashed | The Completionist
26,157The Sonic the Hedgehog fandom are at odds with many games in the franchise, but Sonic Unleashed tends to be a major split. Differences in opinion for innovative or destructive run deep and passionate. It's time for my take on this game in this week's Completionist episode for my Sonic Unleashed review!
Sonic Unleashed created a major divide among fans. Was it innovative or did it continue to "ruin Sonic"? The new direction for mechanics and play-style, along with a custom engine built for this Sonic game were great ideas to move the franchise forward after the previous game, but did it end up making sense? To me the Werehog idea doesn't. So Sonic the Hedgehog is a Hedgehog that turns into a...hedgehog? Other than that the story has high stakes and is a great tone, but possibly unbalanced with the constant cartoony antics of CHIP. If you played the game, then you will know my frustrations with Chip. Let's see how it all adds up in my Sonic Unleashed review!
