Okay, this one's rough. Like all the way around the edges rough. In a way it's fitting for a movie like this, that the video about it is in a similar quality. I was so close to scrapping this one. At first i wasn't feeling it. I've had this idea to make a video about this movie, and to involve Sora, for quite a while now. But when it actually came time to make it, idk, it just didn't come together right. I mean, i'm not really one to do commentary off the cuff. Writing a script is really my only saving grace. So after my first night of attempting to set this video off, i called it quits for a few days. I did have other projects to Work on at the time anyway. So when i came back to it i scripted out the intro, started filming, then proceeded to watch the movie. The bits i recorded were more reactionary than you'd typically look for in a video like this. In the edit, i had to string together a few movie clips at a time to make any sense of the plot. Otherwise i'd just be speaking about seemingly nothing. Well, maybe that's how it sounds anyway. The thing that really got me is that after i had filmed everything, I imported the footage and nearly all of it was blurry. Like, not even a consistent blurry but the camera was constantly trying to focus on something else. Sure, i was set in a dimly lit room. But it all looked fine on the Three-inch display set over six feet away from me. So i took a hit on that one. Really no point re-recording all that for a video like this. I had 2 options, scrap it or try and fix it. Well there's no fixing things like this. You can't unblur a video, right? Well that is true, but you can at least touch it up some. There's an insane amount of smoothing going on, and multiple video files stacked into one, cropping in whichever parts looked best. I almost superimposed an in-focus shot of the tree over the whole video. I really don't have the patience for that right now. I hardly even know what i'm saying right now. It's nearly six AM. I just finished the export, and i'm doing the upload. Sh-t, i haven't thrown together a thumbnail yet. I did not expect any of this to take as long as it has. Oh well. I'm nearly done with it. And i've got some better stuff coming up next. Well, i better get to it. It's Christmas by the way. So happy day to you. While i'm still on the subject, this was never meant to be a Christmas video. I mean, it isn't really, just a Christmas set. But the day i decided on filming i seen the tree set, and figured it looked nice. I wanted this video to be out before the 25th, but when do i ever hit deadlines? Not often. Well that's all i got for you. Why are you still reading this? Why am i still typing this?
