This is the "sequel" to Soul Saber from Yamadaya. As you can tell (if you've watched our Soul Saber vids), they ditched the generic fighter approach to the game and let you battle in huge areas, which suits the game better; wise decision on their part, as I didn't see the original engine going very far.

The characters didn't have a huge assortment of moves in Soul Saber, but that's okay for this game; you can make a lot of characters with a few varying weapons/parameters and have them go at it. That's exactly what they did. There are cheap and sucky characters and then strong and costly ones. There is at least a reason to use crappy fighters in this game; their cost is less and they can be "useful" if in a team with others that will offset their weaker characteristics. In truth, this game is a lot like Yamadaya's "Combat Kinryu" game(s), only with more detailed characters and less varied (though bigger) stages so far.

The game is currently at version 0.54D...I have no idea how to upgrade the version, or if it is even possible. The thing with Yamadaya games is that they made higher versions of game like completely "new" games, as shown on the website, with different packaging and stuff. I believe there was a public version that was given away for free at some point, but it was taken down.

The game has the same odd jazz music...it's not bad, but it is sorta out of place. The boob physics look kinda funny too. I could explain how, but you should see it just by looking at them. Of course, the aforementioned things are just observations; they don't hamper the play experience. The game has more male/anti-female characters, so it doesn't seem like a loli-fest this time. The game is mostly smooth and consistent in frame rate, though lag does exist. Game seems pretty fun and should get better in the future.
