Soulcalibur V [RPCS3]: Arcade Mode Battles with Natsu [3 Routes, Normal/Hard Difficulty]
12Back with another SC5 video, and I think I bring some good news: I did some deep internet digging and think I found the perfect settings to prevent the minor cases of graphical glitching/destabilization I was dealing with in the Elissia video after a while of play! Managed to play the emulator for about 2 hours with no issues this time. No vertex or polygon explosions or any of that, which makes this video quite a pretty one imo.
For this video we explore the Arcade battle mode as Taki's apprentice, Natsu. Unlike previous games, the Arcade mode is broken up into routes: Standard (any opponent), Europe and/or Asia (specifically characters from said countries in a set order), and "Extra" (which I actually forgot about during recording, and will cover in an addition few videos soon [EDIT: Natsu's will be found here: • Soulcalibur V [RPCS3]: "Extra" Arcade Mode... ]). There is a Ranking route as well that's locked to Normal but was really only there for online leaderboards. With that in mind, it was the perfect way to stress test the settings. Natsu herself is rather notorious for being one of the main top tiers in the game when it was played competitively, mainly for her speed, high damage (especially for her pokes), and ease of use minus some just frame stun combos. It's mainly the reason why Taki was heavily nerfed in SC6 when she returned, as there was this notion that Project Soul seemed to not want a repeat performance of Natsu's dominance during her tenure.
Man... remembering that all that was back in 2012 sure is something. Anyways, enjoy the triple threat.
