Sound it Out is a creative adventure where I look at a piece of visual art and come up with a tune on the violin on the spot to describe it. Today I am playing Happy Couple by Leonid Afremov.
Today I thought I'd start elaborating a bit on my "description" if it interests anyone. I find this painting to express quite a mix of feelings, of... nostalgia, content, reflection, passing, and maybe even some sadness. A few details that I notice, the "happy couple" walks away from the viewer among trees in fall colors, the silhouette of the couple glows as if they are walking toward a direction of light, the couple dresses in mundane clothing, embracing each other in a way as if they have known each other for long.
