A version of Space Invaders on a handheld console. Another version of Space Invaders for the Game Boy was released in Japan four years earlier, and it had different graphics and sounds, so this version comes closer to the arcade original. In addition, it is very enhanced for the Super Game Boy- with it, you can play the Game Boy version in three different display modes- or even play the original arcade game, which is merely just the SNES version of Space Invaders: The Original Game, known as "Space Invaders: The Arcade Game" in this version, without the VS game mode. So this version predated the release of The Original Game on its own Super NES Game Pak in North America by three years (Japan had already gotten its SFC release of The Original Game that year).
