This video features the various ports of the original iconic arcade game Space Invaders, which changed the Arcade Gaming Industry in Japan and especially for Atari as it was the "Killer App" of it's consoles in that era. Please note: The original Space Invaders has been released numerous times on multiple platforms as remakes, or part of compilations, anniversary editions and specials editions, these are just emulations of the ORIGNAL game, so not all platforms have been included.

Space Invaders is a 1978 shoot 'em up arcade game developed by Tomohiro Nishikado. It was manufactured and sold by Taito in Japan, and licensed by the Midway division of Bally for overseas distribution. Within the shooter game genre, Space Invaders was the first fixed shooter and set the template for the shoot 'em up genre. The goal is to defeat wave after wave of descending aliens with a horizontally moving laser to earn as many points as possible.

The 1980 Atari VCS (Atari 2600) version was the first official licensing of an arcade game for consoles and became the first "killer app" for video game consoles after quadrupling the system's sales. It sold over two million units in its first year on sale as a home console game, making it the first title to sell over a million cartridges. The game went on to sell 2.5 million copies, then over 4.2 million copies by the end of 1981, and a total of over 6 million by 1982; it was the best-selling Atari 2600 game.

Pepsi Invaders (erroneously identified as Coke Wins and Coke Invaders) is a non-commercially released 1983 fixed shooter video game developed by Atari, Inc. for the Atari 2600. A reskin of the system's version of Space Invaders, the player is tasked with shooting down a formation of letters spelling P E P S I which descend towards the surface that the player's weapon moves along. Pepsi Invaders was commissioned by The Coca-Cola Company to be handed out to salespeople at their 1983 sales convention. Pepsi Invaders is one of the rarest games for the Atari 2600 with only 125 copies distributed.

It is an unofficial compilation of Space Invaders, Space Invaders Part II, and Space Invaders Deluxe. The collection was developed by Opcode Games.
Taito contacted Opcode Games about the project but ceased contact during development.

The WonderSwan is a handheld game console released in Japan by Bandai. It was developed by Gunpei Yokoi's company Koto Laboratory and Bandai, and was the last piece of hardware Yokoi developed before his death in 1997. Released in 1999 in the fifth generation of video game consoles, the WonderSwan and its two later models, the WonderSwan Color and SwanCrystal were officially supported until being discontinued by Bandai in 2003. During its lifespan, no variation of the WonderSwan was released outside of Japan.
