So here it is, Spider-Man 2 Enter Electro for Playstation, the sequel to the acclaimed title that essentially got Spider-Man out of his gaming rut and actually did his gameplay justice. I didn't catch it at the time, but once I did record it, I realized that this game was developed by the same company that did the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon remasters. In this case they just used and modified the original engine from the first game.

With new enemies and so on, and a bit more usage of Spider-Man's web abilities. Since apart from webswinging and combat purposes, you hardly ever used the webbing as the tool it usually was and this game implements those features to some degree. The plot is a mixture of straight forward yet a mystery to be unfolded yet again, since we know Electro is the big bad this time, but how and why remains to be seen.

After essentially a reintroduction level on semi familiar grounds, we're near the Fantastic Four building again with Beast as our guide, we do something not seen in the first game outside of one level which was a boss arena in the first game. We're actually street level! A novel concept, but it's back to the rooftops in a slight chase, and after a arena battle, we tackle shocker and nearly lose the fight but I manage to pull a hair thin win. Makes it more interesting but I wish I properly used the boxes as intended, but it's tricky to do but it takes out Shocker in nearly a one shot.

After that we get a reuse of colored keys to defuse yet again another bomb! This just brings parallels to the Genesis game but on a smaller scale, and shorter time limit. But seriously playing back to back the way I did I realized the similarities. But moving on.
