So here's the finale of the series. The final map is very much just a boss rush gauntlet of original bosses, no rematches. And to a point, Morgal and Necros are more intimidating than they are tough, but that's only once you get a handle on how they work. The Over Lord, is still about the only real true challenge of the game since he's a boss with a time limit, the longer it takes, the less of the arena you have to work with. In order to evade his arm attack successfully, you do need a proper balance of distance, speed and timing to be able to leap over it and not get clipped by the back of his arm.

And yeah, it's best you use your healing items up "before" the elixyrs as much as possible, since nothing would be worse than trying to use your healing item at the opportune time only to die before you can use it. And yeah, with how the stats are now, I didn't ever need to buy hardly any food items, just use the ones I got through the course of the adventure.

With the only exception being I bought a few elixyrs. Overall, I really loved this game and this patch made it way less of a chore to experience. And I prefer it this way vs say playing the Japanese original as the only way to have the proper difficulty.

Sadly I wasn't fast enough to get the "blooper reel" but you can find that on youtube. I'm just glad I was able to play this title again and be able to record it without having to become an ultra master of it, with the only "money grind" being due to me ending up lost than deliberately trying. I hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane that's also a smidge different.

And yeah, to comment Mail is actually what I would consider a properly flawed character. She's indeed skilled and capable, but is fairly temperamental and greedy. To where it gets her into actual trouble. But if you've observed, she does very slowly start to grow a bit, and does improve to where she was willing to not get the reward from Muttonhead she was chasing at the start, an instead got a greater reward that she wouldn't have gotten if she stayed on that course.

She started out in a fairly humble place and ended on a very high note.
