As far as telling the origin of the character goes, this game does a pretty decent job of telling and showing what you need to know I’d say. Because this is a video game, a couple elements are added in this movie tie-in game for more of a gameplay experience, like the Hunter Killers at the end of the last part. In addition to the HKs a few of Spider-Man’s other villains are also here, and Shocker and Vulture are making off with some ill-gotten loot and valuables, Shocker is the more immediate threat so Spidey goes after him first.

Shocker Boss Fight Tips: Generally I find it isn’t the best idea to get into CQC with Shocker, he tends to only take one melee hit before he retaliates so I find it’s a better idea to hit him from a distance with Impact Webs or throwables. The double jump kick is also good for knocking him to the ground after one of his blasts. If you can, try not to take any damage during the last Shocker level as you’ll get extra points for taking no damage.
