Phew, I really like the amount of ink the Wellstring can output. Despite popping the Rainmaker, the blue team grab it first, but they don't get far, and by dropping it we get splats and get to move it a bit further. Only a bit, mind you, but I continue to get splats, which is quite pleasing for my return to the string weapon. It also makes me confident when the Splat Dualies come dodge-rolling my way. A little over-confident, but never mind. I super-jump back and help burst the Rainmaker free, and we're on the move again. Double dolphins stop us this time, and the Rainmaker's placement makes it easier for the blue team to grab-and-dash. I have to swap focus from potential targets to the Rainmaker, and I am too far behind to stop them hitting the checkpoint.

I stop the Ballpoint Splatling from trying to recover the Rainmaker, but a Trizooka causes me to rush in to hiding. A squidmate splats them, and we can move the Rainmaker once more, as I repel the Dread Wringer, but do little to rustle the Splat Dualies' feathers. I catch up with the Rainmaker and help keep it orange, although we don't get far. And then we're in a minor stalemate, both teams jostling for position around the dropped Rainmaker, until balance tips in favour of the blue team, and their renewed focus on the Rainmaker further clears the turf for them. Despite that, a good opportunistic move from a squidmate keeps us moving forwards, just a little bit.

Despite our efforts, the Rainmaker is back in blue hands, and I sit back looking to protect our turf. We don't do too badly for a while, but some splats lets the blue team ink a path, and a protective Inkjet lets them move the Rainmaker back across to our side. I manage to get enough ink on the Rainmaker to finally stop them, only for the Splat Dualies to take offence and splat me again. Fair enough.

We recover the Rainmaker, near our checkpoint, and I help laying down some suppressing ink. I even manage to make my shots catch up with the Splat Dualies. Nice! I am less able to stop the Ballpoint Splatling quite so quickly, but I do stop them, and when I do it has given enough time for the Splat Dualies to super-jump to their position. Despite their dodge-rolling, I splat them again. It looks like we can get to the checkpoint now, but not with a Dolphin shooting across our path. I leave some bullets on the turf that get some quick revenge, as I retreat to higher turf, and help keep the Rainmaker shield orange. That lets a squidmate get to the checkpoint, and we're a step away from stealing the lead.

It's worth making a dash-and-grab ourselves, just to take the lead, and with thirty seconds left in the battle. It works, but why not go for goal? I just about escape a Triple Splashdown, and a Rainmaker blast gets a lucky double-splat ahead of me. Now to swim as fast as I can to the podium, where I just about stay ahead of the Dread Wringer, and dunk the Rainmaker just as I hear the noise of a Trizooka being cocked. Woomy!
