I dunno how that Suction Bomb splatted someone, but then again I've managed to not see something as big on too many occasions. The Tower isn't moving, though, and I'm not going near it with all the blue ink flying around. That Hydra Splatling is causing problems, but how do you get near to it? The blue bucket has an easier time getting close to us, and although I get a lucky shot to splat them, I fall backwards off the ledge, thankfully on to more turf, allowing the blue team to get the Tower going. And as I scramble back up, the .96 Gal is there to pick me off with ruthless efficiency. I try to return down the side, where blue turf looks ominous, but the Zipcaster flies past me. I ignore them, approach the Tower from the side, and turn it around.

I leap off the Tower as I see movement ahead, and try to use some good manoeuvres to get close. It mostly works, and I splat the Luna Blaster, before pushing forwards to catch the Hydra Splatling back in their overwatch position. That lets my squidmates move the Tower forwards nicely. I squid around, looking for more opportunity, and find it on the level below, catching the bucket flopping around. I surge up to the Tower, where I have no idea what's going on, and am updated quickly. I leave a Suction Bomb and run away, splatting the Luna Blaster again, but without keeping the push going. I try to catch up with the retreating Tower, only to run straight in to a Splattercolour Screen, then the bucket. So it goes.

I return without much aim, but help with an assist against the Luna Blaster. That trajectory puts me to the side, behind cover from the Hydra Splatling, who looks to threaten the Tower once more. As I watch, a Kraken appears, which I'm happy to hide from and, very much unlike me, happy to see. It gives the blue inklings behind it undue confidence that it is safe to come forwards, and if I had a better first shot the Hydra Splatling would pay for that quicker than they do. But they still do. I have to run from the Luna Blaster, which I do, but they keep looking for me. Only a lucky hit stops them. My squidmates stop the Tower, so I turn around and find myself in the middle of the Hydra Splatling's spray. I nearly splat them, but that's not quite good enough.

I risk a super-jump back, which has my squidding away from the Tower quickly. I dodge a Splattercolour screen and get back up to the high turf, only to miss the bucket in the back, and have them turn the tables with some good swimming. We're wiped out, but the Tower is in blue turf, so we have plenty of time to recover. We still take a pretty defensive stance, not wanting to get too close to the blue onslaught approaching. My tactic to throw Suction Bombs gets a splat, but it also drains my ink tank, and I could have used more ink when under the Tower. Thankfully, my squidmates stop the Tower just before we lose the lead, and I return having not learnt my mistake, happily throwing Suction Bombs. To be fair, I get a splat and ration my ink well enough to also get another by blasting, contributing to a Wipeout that just about maintains our lead.

We ride the Tower away from our turf, and in to blue turf. I throw out a Wave Breaker that bags me a splat while I try to hide on the Tower from the Hydra Splatling. I get quite far! I jump off, looking for a visually impressive splat, but just looking like a normal jump, and hop back on the Tower to increase our lead nicely. Another jump to try to close the range to the Hydra Splatling doesn't go well, when they are pointing at me with a full charge ready. I don't super-jump back, which turns out to be a decent move, as I get to the Tower as my squidmates are splatted off, having ridden it further. I try to hop on and blast away the .96 Gal threat, but fail to hit my mark. But with no time left, and even with the blue team securing a Wipeout, the battle is won when they forget to stick to the Tower in overtime. Woomy!
