Turns out you can just walk out of the main boundaries of Welcome to Planktopolis... Minions pretty easily. Go to the Ice Skating Idiot token objective, go to the wall with the destructible TV boxes (opposite of the Port-o-Potty) and just hop onto the wall. Patrick will most likely latch onto it, but that's fine, it'll still allow you to walk right out of the level's main boundaries.
Unusually, a lot of things here are solid objects. Still, just be careful as to what you walk into, as you can get stuck in some objects. Be sure to cartwheel to get outside of the small boundary just outside of the wall, as it allows Patrick to get straight out of it.
