Spongebob: The Cosmic Shake Part 1
4What's this, a new Spongebob game that's actually good?! This truly is a great successor to Battle For Bikini Bottom. It mixes a bunch of elements from classic and modern Spongebob, and makes a nostaligic and fun platforming adventure.
Overall, this game is fantastic, but I do think the visuals look off at times, the lighting is way too bright in areas. Cutscenes seem to struggle to render a lot of things at times, and the cutscene pacing, and sound editing for this game is pretty rough throughout. Spongebob is very fun to play as, along with his various costumes, but I do miss being able to play as Sandy and Patrick.
Otherwise, I highly recommend this game, and would love to see future dlc, or a sequel down the line. It's funny, I mentioned in my review for Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated that I would love to see a somewhat sequel that mixes in elements from episodes that came out after the release of the 1st Spongebob Movie. Who would have guessed we would have gotten a game like that only a couple years later?
Part 1 features the Prologue, the Western Level, and most of the Movie Studio Level.
