SSB4 Frame Data: Shulk's Monado Arts Goes Through Luigi's Sweetspotted Up B
To understand this completely, please watch the video at 720p60 if you can. My matches are usually at 30fps, but this was recorded at 60fps to get all of its frames in.
Jaguar and I were wondering what happened in our first tourney match in this moment of this match:

So, I wanted to check it out further since this match was played on my Wii U.
Turns out that this was all on my Shulk. You see, as soon as Shulk activates a Monado Art, he strikes a pose. Within the first 14 frames of his posing, he's completely intangible.
As soon as Luigi activates his Up B, the fiery sweetspot of it comes out at Frame 8 and ONLY Frame 8. By the time that frame was reached, Shulk completely ignore it as he was still posing. But then right in the next frame, I end up moving Shulk and cut off the remaining intangible frames he had left. This made the the sourspot of Luigi's Up B to hit Shulk instead at Frame 9.
This isn't a bug or a glitch, it's just an intentional game design for Shulk, and this can help him safeguard the laggy landings of his aerial attacks against quick punishes such as grabs and jabs.
